Amarnath Yatra With Leh Ladakh

+DAY 01 :Arrival in Leh

Catch a flight from Delhi airport to Leh. On arriving in Leh, transfer to your hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, the day is at leisure. Placed at an altitude of 3542 meters, the enchanting Leh is one of the most popular tourist destinations of India. It is extremely important that you acclimatize yourself to the high pressure of the high altitude so that you can enjoy your vacations here. Overnight stay.

+DAY 02 : Leh Sightseeing

After breakfast visit for local sightseeing of Hall of Fame, GurudwaraPathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam View where Indus & Zanskar River meet.

  • The Hall of Fame: Located near the LehAirfiled, is a museum constructed as well as maintained by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars.
  • Gurdwara Shri PatharSahib : It is situated on the Srinagar-Leh Road, 25kms before the Leh. It is very beautiful and it was created in memory of the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • Magnetic Hill : It is a so-called "gravity hill" is located on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar national highway, about 30 km from Leh, at a height of 11,000 feet above sea level. The alignment of the road with the slope of the background can give the illusion that cars are able to drift upwards.
  • Sangam Valley: It is a 48 kilometre drive from Leh and is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. Just the view of Sangam Valley from the road above it can make you swoon in ecstasy. The colours of the two rivers can be distinctly seen at the confluence. Overnight stay in Leh.

+DAY 03 :Leh to Nubravalley 3-4 hrs. / 115 kms

After breakfast at hotel drive towards Nubra valley. Popularly known as Dorma or "the valley of flowers" via Khardungla Pass - the world's one of the highest motorable road (5602 mts). On arrival, check-in to your Hotel. Later in the afternoon, visit the Diskit Monastery and the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha which is the tallest Buddha statue in Ladakh. Later visit the white sand dunes at Hunder where you can enjoy the Double Humped Bactrian camel ride (ride on direct payment basis). Overnight stay in Nubra.

+DAY 04 :Nubravalley to Leh

After breakfast you will leave for Leh on the same route to Nubra. Afternoon you will we be taken to visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace.

  • Shanti Stupa : Located on the hilltop at Changspa. The Stupa was constructed by a Japanese Buddhist organization, known as ʹThe Japanese for World Peaceʹ. The aim behind the construction of the Stupa was to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote World Peace.
  • Leh Palace: Built in the 17th century, it was built as the residential palace for the King SinggeNamgyal. Much smaller but resembling the Potala in Lhasa, Leh Palace is now in ruins. It has nine storeys and has been deserted since the royal family shifted to the Stok Palace in 1830s. Overnight stay in Leh.

+ DAY 05 : Drive from Leh to Pangong Lake & back ( 148 kms one way )

Visit Pangong Lake, shooting point of popular bollywood film 3 idiots, enjoy dinner by lake side. O/N at Camp. (Pack Lunch will be served) Drive back to Leh and reach the Hotel by night. O/N at Hotel. Hotel Glacier View.

+DAY 06 : Drive from Leh to Kargil ( 205 kms )

Leave for Kargil after breakfast and visit Hall of Fame, (Army museum) Pather Sahib Gurudwara, Magnetic Hill, confluence of the mighty indus and zanskar river, lamayuru monastery, moonland, Mulbeck chamba and finally reach Kargil by evening. O/N stay at Kargil Tourist Camp

+DAY 07 : Drive Kargil to Sonmarg ( 125 kms )

Leave for Sonmarg after breakfast visiting Drass war memorial, Tiger Hill, Tololing Hill experiencing the sacrifices of Indian army during the infamous Kargil war of 1999 and finally reach Sonmarg by afternoon, get dropped at your Hotel.

+DAY 08 : Holy cave and back to Sonmarg

Start early morning by Helicopter to Panchtarni and Panchtarni to Holy cave is 6 kms trek/doli/horse. Darshan, pooja, aarti at Amarnath cave and back to Sonmarg.

+DAY 09 : Drive to Srinagar and sightseeing

Drive to Srinagar and sightseeing. .

+DAY 10 : Srinagar sightseeing
+DAY 11 : Fly to Jammu and Vaishnovidevi darshan

Fly to jammu. We will start going up to Vaishnovidevi temple and back to the hotel, overnight at hotel.

+DAY 12 : Katra to Shivkhodi and back to Katra

In the morning we will drive 80 kms to Ransoo and from Ransoo its 4 kms trek to visit Shivkhodi cave, back 4 kms down to Ransoo and drive 80 kms back to Katra.

+DAY 13 : Departure : Fly from Jammu to Delhi (add Kathmandu)

+1-Q AmarnathYatraRoute - From Jammu or Srinagar ?
Our Plan includes Vaishnovidevi and Shivkhodi along with Amarnathyatra. This year wehave also included Leh and Ladakh. Our starting and ending point depends on how and what you are choosing from our regular itinerary.Normally, our group flies to Jammu or Srinagar from Delhi according to plan and join us. Please email us for our year’s plan.
+2-Q What is the mode of transport till Holy cave?
There are three different ways to go to Holy cave -
Chandanvadi to Amarnath baba’s cave: This is the longest route. It takes four days from Chandvadi to Chandanvadi. Please expect less than basic arrangements for accommodation.
Baltal to Amarnathbaba’s cave: You can do this in a day. It’s about 18 km one-way. You can also stay one night at Panchtarni and come back on second day.
Helicopter from Baltal, Neelgrah or Pahelgam to Panchtarni: this is the shortest route for Amarnathbaba’s cave. It is extremely difficult to get Helicopter tickets. Normally it costs Rs 3500 but you end up paying triple the money. The helicopter ride is for 10 minutes to Panchtarni. Panchtarni to Amarnathbaba’s cave is 6kms. You can get Doli or horse to go to the Cave. You may also like to walk up.

AmarnathYatra normally opens on July 1st and ends in mid of August.

Yes they can if they are medically fit.

Yes, it is compulsory. You have to get it from the assigned doctors from government.

Its warm when you start from down but its ice glacier when you approach Baba’s cave. Its cold up there.

You can hire Helicopter, Doli, horse or you can walk.

From down to temple is about 14 kms. Yes you can walk.

Shivkhodi is beautiful caves. It’s about five hours drive from Katra-Jammu. There is Swayambhu Lingam in the cave. One must not miss to visit these caves
